An initiative by Distillery type, London, to draw attention & create awareness and celebrate the importance of diversity. Created the Diversity type project, the world’s most diverse typeface, crafted by designers from all corners of the world.

Distillery partnered with industry organisation such as D&AD, the Diversity Standards Collective, One Minute Briefs, Clear Channel, Femme Type and PoP to work on the project for 6 months. 308 creaties across 54 countries were involved in the project.

The team partnered with One Minute Briefs, we challenged their community to create promotional posters to celebrate the project,

encouraging brands & organisations to get involved & adopt the font for World Diversity Day. An astonishing 164 designs entered from across the globe. 5 of those designs were brought to life as billboards & posters across the UK and Brazil.

I created a set of 26 letterforms out of which one was selected as part of the final typeface. This documentation is about the explorations and letterforms designed leading up to the tiime of choosing a final set to send ahead towards Distillery. I explored 9 letterforms for each letter, from sketching them out to creating them in digital softwares. I also used the final typeface to create something of my own.
